lyrics

The foundation of the earth, the spirit and the son, the father and the sacrifice.
A gift for us; abstracted progeny whose failure bore no consequence.

Faithful servants we will come together to render our voices, Oh, to scrape the heavens!
Faithful sons of liturgy.

Day to night he has come to me, Oh to behold the beauty of what is unseen!
Light in the dying sea, comfort in the rubble.

A birthright, a hooded messenger to plague my mind.
An infected thorn atop my skull to abate my flesh, to quell conceit.
I take pride in my weakness, I am not my strength.

Night after night I have come to him, to remove my anguish, to cast off this burden.
Fated son of initiation.
Quivering lips and crying eyes plead, to behold the beauty of what is unseen; light in the dying sea, comfort in the rubble.

Father bring me closer, I seek refuge, shelter in your golden fortress.
Call me from the darkness into your glow, take my eyes so I can see the light in this dying sea.
Come forth from the rubble.

A starlit song, a parturition to revere,
He was born!
The one to save us all from our predestined failings.

Liberate me from this path that I will walk tomorrow, I have sinned already.
I take pride in my weakness, I am not my strength, I am not the master of my own soul.
Dead in my transgressions.

Gratified by the cravings of flesh, following the darkness lead by my breath; like all the rest, we are by nature deserving of wrath, deserving of suffering.

But by his grace, I have been saved and reborn!
My birthright of rotting flesh.
Bring me from the darkness, lead me from death, and raise my soul in light!

Like all the rest, we are by nature deserving of wrath, deserving of suffering.
But by his grace I have been reborn, his sacrifice; a lone child’s blood.
This bestowal; an extended hand to share divinity.

By his sacrifice, by one son’s body, and by his grace we will be reborn.

A crimson sky, the sacrifice to be revealed, but reborn!
The death to save us all from our patrimonial wounds.
To ascend back to him.
